Our next Sogetsu Colorado branch workshop will be on Saturday, September 30th. In this lesson you disassemble or take apart the plant material/s into its elemental parts; then make a new composition with the parts. More than one type of plant material may be used.
This exercise is a way to perhaps discover new aspects of the plant material/s that will enhance your design and increase your knowledge of the material/s. Attention should be paid to the harmony between the container and the materials
Any member of Sogetsu Colorado Branch and anyone in the state of Colorado studying or teaching Sogetsu Ikebana is invited to attend this workshop. Teachers may invite non-member students attend as their guests.
Workshop Leader
Eileen Kay will lead the workshop. Eileen is Komon rank and has been practicing and studying ikebana for over 30 years. She has been a practitioner and student of Buddhism for almost 50 years and always looks forward to disassembling and reassembling thoughts and ideas as well as plant materials.
